I wanted that bookmark because that was the 5th Bostonian bookstore I wanted to revisit, in a short 3-day stay. I bought it because I wanted the bookmark at the Trident Booksellers and Cafe, where most of the books are new and the space is permeating with butter and general foodstuff.
Based on all of these judgement, you might wonder why did I even buy it. I'm the shallow kind of book buyer I judge by how the front page looks (artsy and not overly embellished in the M&S combined trilogy version the one with an A and a whole bunch of mushroom on the front cover, silver-gray in color) I judge by how the book feels in my hands, my small, un-muscular hands (heavy, wrist-breaking the book is, was, always has been and will be) I judge by how the pages feel (light and flimsy, but at least the letters aren't see-through). I finished Ambergris, the trilogy the brick of a story about a city that's neither here nor there Posting to keep myself accountable (lazy on the grammar, spelling, capitalization and punctuation due to impaired motor function) normally I come to r/books to complain but this time it's positive review so begins the ramble (tldr at the end)
